If you live in East Austin or have a City of Austin Medical Assistance Program (MAP) card, you can have your pet spayed or neutered, vaccinated against rabies, and receive a microchip…

at no cost!

* Your pet must be on a leash or in a box.

Space is limited and services are first come, first served.


For spay or neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, and pet registration (free!):
* Do not feed or water your pet after midnight prior to surgery.
* List starts at 6:00 am, pet check-in starts at 8:00 a.m.

Space is limited.

* Pick your pet up between 4:45 and 5:30 p.m. the same day.

Other services are available between 11:00- 3:00 p.m. (offered at a low cost):

Free spaying/neutering at Seattle Animal Shelter

This free offer is made possible by donations to the city’s “Pet Population Control Fund.” The fund also helps pay for spaying and neutering pets owned by low-income, elderly, disabled, homeless or other persons who would otherwise not be able to afford the cost of sterilizing their pets.
