National Canine Cancer Foundation
Their mission is a nationwide, contribution funded, 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation dedicated to eliminating Cancer as a major health issue in dogs by funding grants directly to Cancer researchers who are working to save lives, find cures, better treatments and accurate, cost effective diagnostic methods in dealing with canine Cancer.

Good Karma Rescue
Located in Central Vermont this nonprofit group works with local and national organizations to help prevent pet overpopulation. All Good Karma pets are housed in foster homes. They have been featured in People Pets magazine and on television.
Worldwide Groups
On Facebook a women in the UK established a directory to assist volunteers in saving pet lives. These groups publicize animals needing homes or to be rescued from shelters. The directory lists volunteers who foster, pull or transport pets.
Tails in the Hood
Jason M Flatt is the President and Founder of Friends To The Forlorn Pitbull Rescue Inc. His mission is to education the public and assist Pit Bull Terriers within the Atlanta area. Some individuals just need a mentor.
No Kill Austin
Austin is moving toward becoming a No Kill city. The co-chair members of the Public Awareness Committee for the Austin No Kill Initiative will share more insights to the needs in achieving this prestigious honor.

Pit Bull Terrier Named ‘JoJo’ Wins
The one-time abandoned puppy found near death with a severely broken leg on the side of a desert road outside Alpine, Texas is now an unofficial therapist at El Paso Orthopaedic Surgery Group and Center for Sports Medicine in Texas. JoJo, a Pit Bull Terrier, wins the ProPlan Rally To Rescue’s ‘Doing More For Pets’ contest!
