K9-Connection in the Twin Cities
Angie Gwiazdon created K9-Connection to bring together dog lovers in a fun, event-oriented environment that’s comfortable, casual and inviting. She knows that dog lovers are a special breed, so she has bridged the gap between great people and their dogs, or simply dog lovers in general — with or without a dog. Angie celebrates the Twin Cities with its transplants, singles, friends and friends-of-friends, networking dog people and folks who feel guilty when they have fun and leave their dogs at home.

NC Triangle House Rabbit Meetup Group
Jeanette Lyerly is the assistant organizer. Their mission is to meet others from the area who are pet rabbit owners and fans of rabbits as house pets. We advocate housing rabbits indoors. Join us to talk about the care, housing, feeding and health of our pet rabbits. We will share our personal experiences in caring for these curious creatures, thereby enhancing their lives and ours. We will build awareness and support for adoption of rescued rabbits. And we might also be able to share pet-sitting services and other resources. Those who are interested in rabbit rescue are also welcome, but we are not a rescue group — and we do not have resources to re-home rabbits.

Arcadia Bird Sanctuary and Educational Center
Terri Jones is the Director of Arcadia Bird Sanctuary and Educational Center. This is a shelter and we house all our birds on premises. We do not foster out our birds, but we are a sanctuary, offering a permanent home for companion birds that are no longer suitable to be pets. Many of our residents have been abused or neglected. Some are elderly and deserve a ‘forever’ home. Some will be adopted to the perfect family. We never make a determination on any bird until we know that bird well.

Earthdog
OK Paws K9 Sports Club offers an Earthdog program. Teresa Randall is going to share more about this program during the show. The roots of the Earthdog program go back to the beginning of small game hunting. Current Earthdog playdays and trials use man-made tunnels & dens to test the dog’s instinct for hunting & prey. “Earthdogging” allows these game little dogs an outlet for their excess energy & instincts in a way that benefits the dogs & the owners.
