PAWS is a no-kill nonprofit shelter serving Central Texas that believes in second chances! At PAWS, companion animals who enter their doors, through no fault of their own, are given medical attention, care, and love for however long it takes for us to find them a loving home.
Victoria Adoptables Animal Rescue
Currently, 22 rescue organizations and CRD Pound post animals for adoption on the Victoria Adoptable Animal Rescue Portal (website). Victoria Adoptables Rescue was formed in 2007. They rescue stray and abandoned dogs from pounds and small communities up island as well as over the border. They, as volunteers, do not believe animal rescue stops at the border. We are non-profit and foster dogs in our own home environment.

Vicky loves her pets. We will learn how they came into her life. She has also created a dog treat business. Vicky shares how she balances her tasty business while caring for the family.
Pennies 4 Pitties
It’s a spay/neuter incentive program that Sonya is trying to get off the ground in order to reduce the number of pit bulls that are being turned in to Town Lake Animal Center in Austin. Sonya is a foster pet parent.
Blair’s Equine Rescue in Kentucky
This organization is a non-breed specific dedicating itself to the rescue, healing and new home placement for abused, neglected and mistreated horses. Marcia is an avid horse-lover and all around “critter person”. Marcia has experienced and seen, first-hand, what neglect, abuse and injury can do to a horse and is appalled by the conditions many horses are forced to live under.

Don’s family members include ferrets. We will learn how he defined his lifestyle to include these curious little loving creatures. Many individuals have stated “a ferret is like having a two year old”.

Anne is a very busy volunteer for Lucky Dog Animal Rescue in the DC area. She continues to save pet lives by fostering them. Her passion is to match pets with their future families ensuring a match made in heaven.
Blue Dog Rescue in Austin TX
Blue Dog Rescue takes in adoptable dogs from the area shelters and fosters them in volunteer foster homes. By fostering dogs in our homes we are able to save lives and provide the public with healthy spayed or neutered dogs
