Adoptions at Street Cat Rescue

Stories Of Multiple Pets is hosting the Radio For Rescue project beginning August 7th – November 1st. Benefiting from this project is one of four nonprofit animal organizations:

Donna Powell is the founder of Street Cat Rescue located in Round Rock. Her program provides a humane solution for the community cats of the Austin area. Donna educates the public on Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) programs for feral cats and adopts out socialized cats.

At the present time (Sunday, September 5, 2010) there are several cats ready for adoption.

Apple Jack and brothers Buddy and Skipper would love to be adopted in the same home but if not, Apple Jack and Skipper should be kept together as they are more bonded with each other. These guys are last year’s kittens so they have been in foster care for quite a while and longing for their forever home!! Apple Jack has gorgeous coloring and the most luminous green eyes!! He’s a little shy at first but quickly warms up and purrs. Still very playful…loves the star chaser toy and cat trees.

Binky, a female brown tabby, was rescued at Garden Ridge Pottery as a 4 month old kitten. She is very petite and became tamed immediately, apparently deciding the “home” life was a much better one! She is pretty outgoing and loves to win people over when they come to visit. She is a small adult cat (about 8lbs) and would be a wonderful new addition to your family.

Your heart will melt when you look into those adorable eyes- and see what an innocent face this one has! Buddy loves to follow you around. This guy is all personality- just looking at him makes you smile. He’s an adventurer…and longs to have his own person. He would be great if adopted out with brothers but is the most independent of the three- Skipper and Apple Jack are more bonded…but they all love each other. A Three-for-one adoption fee would apply to keep the brothers together!!!

Possible sister to Scotty. Princess P is a beautiful, short-haired diluted calico who was rescued with Scotty. Very petite and dainty and very affectionate! A very sweet and adorable cat.

All personality, Skipper is full of charm! Is used to small dogs and bigger cats- fits right into any situation! He is very affectionate and really charms people that walk by him at adoption events! Last year’s kittens..this boy is brothers with Apple Jack and Buddy and are seeking forever home!! A special Three-for-one adoption fee would apply when the family is kept together!!

Trixie is going to be a very small adult. She quickly showed us that she was not a feral cat but a loving, comical and adorable cat that needs a second chance. She loves to get under the covers and dive up for her head pets. She is great with kids and dogs. She can be somewhat temperamental with some other cats but not all and quickly adjusts. A VERY unique cat!
